my first born is 18 today.
i love karis for all the things she is inside.
she loves jesus. and her family. and her friends.
she trusts in Him and is a good example to those around her, even when she doesn't know how things will turn out.
i love karis' balanced mix of maturity and childlikeness.
she enjoys a good game, or playing at the beach or in snow.
she has a great sense of humor.
she has a great eye for beautiful things: pictures, clothes, accessories.
her eyes are beautiful.
she wants to be a pastry chef.
she makes most of the cakes for our family celebrations (this is mike's recent light saber).
she has a great smile.
she is fun to be with.
even if it's because she and her sister are making fun of you.
we have so many private jokes we can't remember them all.
good times. (she would say).
little kids adore her.
the girl on the left is named after her. karis. and she loves her.
the little girl on her lap is our new youth pastor's daughter.
we had a last minute get together at church for her. over 40 people came.
karis is a blessing.
happy 18th! you can now vote---
love you, karis

Not only can she vote, but she can now buy White Out and spray paint (at least in FL.)
Happy Birthday, dear Karis!
(and congrats and condolenses to her dear, dear Mom.....Spoken as one who has been through more 18th birthdays than I'd like to remember!)
BTW- Have you noticed I stole your colored, multi-sized font idea? How cool is that (...the font, not the stealing)?
She looks like a really special, beautiful girl. =) This post made me teary eyed though. ha! My baby is only 2. I can hardly imagine 18. *hugs*
By the way, the picture of her catching snow on her tongue is aboslutly beautiful! Props to the photographer ;)
